Road Conditions
The Shire of Laverton’s Road Condition Report provides information on current road status, it is advised road users check for updates prior to travel.
Motorists in the Shire of Laverton are advised to take caution when driving on roads and to drive to prevailing road conditions. Road conditions can vary rapidly and a 4WD high clearance vehicle is recommended on all gravel roads.
On all gravel roads drive with headlights on low beam.
After significant rainfall roads can be slippery and unsuitable for travel.
The Shire urges all drivers to show caution when crossing any floodwater on roadways and creek crossings, delays can occur due to road conditions, and it is recommended travellers pack adequate food, water and spares.
Please also be aware that potholes may form in road pavements during periods of high rainfall.
